So Much Space for Activities!!
Ahhh Luclin. We've waited so long for you to arrive and you've somehow lived up to your expectations! The AA grind is real, and we're having a blast getting out there and grouping again! We've got a new mountain of tasks to complete as well with the two major key quests to the Emporers Chambers and Vex Thal. And to top it off, we've seen a server resurgence I don't think anyone could have quite predicted. We're happy to see new and familar faces alike, back in Norrath.
We're still waiting for our opportunity to get in on some of the jucier Luclin raid targets, but we still have so much to do in Velious as well! Nearly every week so far it seems we have knocked off another Yeti first! We continue to grow and tackle more and more difficult targets! This update, however, features two dead dragons, and a little King named Dain.
Dozekar actually took his dirt nap last week for the first time - shortly after our KT kill. He put up a good fight, it was a true battle of attrition challenging our DPS to bring him down before our Clerics ran out of mana! But no, our Necros said! These here Clerics shall not run out of mana! And so they did not, and the beast fell. Excellent team work and adaptation mid fight, this is what Yetis are made of!
More recently however, we decided to knock of the final two lords of Velious. Little Dain and Lord Yelinak. These fights were new for us not only in that we hadn't attempted them before, but also in that it threw a couple new mechanics in the mix for us to deal with! On Dain, a tank banish, and on Yelinak, a Mana Drain! As for Dain, the harder part may have been getting him pulled down the well, and Yelinak, well....we said who needs mana! Which frankly scared him silly. Two pulls, two kills. 100% Yeti.
So maybe you are asking yourself...just what IS Yeti Life like? Yeti life is glorious, friends. You only raid 3 nights a week, and have the rest of your Yeti life to spend as you please! But then there's also the people....
We aren't big fans of Humans around here, this is true. But what we learned today is, Natilyae really digs well defined calves. Step yo game up boys!
And then there was this. Rokyu usually ends up at the butt end of most of our jokes. But maybe he just likes it that way? That's ok. Yeti is accepting of everyone, even Rokyu.
There's a little Yeti in all of us. The only question is, are you ready to unleash the Yeti within and rain your icy fury down upon raid mobs with us?! Or you could heal said Yetis as they rain down icy fury. We like healers too.
While the big dogs are off jockeying for position on the Moon, Yeti is here to take advantage of newfound Velious availability! We kicked off our first raid back since Luclin Launch on Sunday with a few light Luclin targets to get back in the groove of raiding. After those were dead, we discovered King Tormax was atop his throne, just asking to be knocked off. 1 Pull, 1 Kill, 100% Yeti.
In other news, Yeti is proud to be home to the Server 2nd (Lowlife) & 3rd (Phinius) 60 beastlords in addition to the Server 3rd (Lowlife) & 4th (Phinius) Beastlord Epics! Grats us & thanks to those that helped us along the way! Now back to griding for MGB Paragon....
We've seen lots of new recruits come Luclin! It's great to see new players returning and coming on this journey with us. We are excited for the challenges that lie before us, and we want YOU to be help us tackle them. If you're looking for a raiding guild that raids on a limited 3 day a week schedule, then we may be the guild for you. Never Settle. Be a Yeti.
Snowballing to Luclin
Ah here we are at the end of October. The leaves are changing, mobs are dying, and our little snowball of a guild just keeps rolling & growing. With Luclin less than a week out, we capped off our time in October with a few more landmark kills featuring Velkator the Sorcerer and an old friend, Severilous. As we look ahead we are excited about the plethora of raid content that awaits us in Luclin, while we continue to push in Velious. As a wise man once said, there's going to be so much space for activities!
We're still on the hunt for new Yetis! Come experience Luclin and beyond with us!
After several attempts, there was no more perfect word to describe this kill. Yeah we're small, but we're fierce! Another 100% Yeti raid force kill, and this one shows that we've got what it takes to continue progressing in Velious and beyond!
Congrats to Ejryuusk (aka EJ) on our first Chestplate of Vindication! Wear it proudly sir!
Want to do more with less? Become a Yeti and together, we shall conquer the mountains and snow of Velious that lie before us.
Ding dong the Prince is dead!
One more target on our list eliminated! Innoruuk was 100% deaded by a 100% YETI raid force. We continue to push the limits of our raid force, living our mantra of doing more with less! And yet, some targets are still just out of our reach and we need YOU to go YETI so that we can continue to progress together!
In true Prince of Hate fashion, all of his loot is incredibly racist. Must all Ogres bash? Are you saying all halflings have feet of leather? Surely all Dwarves don't brew....most just drink! The Human necklace has no streotypical insult on it. It's insult enough just being Human.
Completely Healed to Death
Do mobs fall over dead when their hitpoints reach zero, or is it after clerics flawlessly execute a complete heal rotation for X number of minutes? Perhaps this question will continue to go unanswered as one of the great mysteries of the universe. However, it is believed by the clerics of Yeti, that the latter occurred last week, as Venril Sathir fell before the might of the first ever Yeti complete heal rotation.
Proof that a complete heal chain did occur.
Another kill for team Yeti, and another bit of experience that will make us stronger, faster, better. There is more to come, the only question is, are you Yeti?
Gotta Start Somewhere
Ask anyone that has achieved greatness. You don't start at the top. You gotta work for it, grind for it, progress towards it. It ain't easy or common, and often it's unexpected. But that's exactly why we revere such individuals and organizations that reach the top in their respective fields. Is Yeti ever going to be a powerhouse raiding guild on Ragefire? No. That's not our field. But make no mistake, we want to be the best at what we do, and what we do is raid 3 nights a week. We want to be respected for our efficiency, admired for our tight knit culture, and revered for our unwavering commitment to do right by all those we may come across. It may not seem like much to some, but for us, these are the achievements that will add up to greatness.
But as the title to this update reads, you gotta start somewhere. And for us, it was taking revenge on a little dragon named Faydedar. A few weeks prior, this little dude got the best of us, but back we came stronger, wiser, and hungry(er). Hungry for the meat of a dragon! Wait that didn't sound right. Hungry for the dragon's meat!!! Yep there we go. And so, despite dropping perhaps his worst possible loot, we took joy in watching Faydedar tuck tail and run as we finished him off. Our first big kill as a guild, a sign of progress and things to come!!
And of course, we continue to gear up the guild with HoT armor, and EPICS!! Again, if you put in the work for your epic, we WILL help you finish it.
We are still looking for more fine members to join us here in Yeti! The more Yetis we get, the tougher the mobs we can tackle. We are currently recruiting all classes and levels! We will do our best as a guild to help you get up to speed and raiding with us in short order! If you are returning to Ragefire after a hiatus, making the move over from Phinny or Lockjaw, or are just a brand spankin new citizen of Ragefire: join us, and help us build something great!
If you have any questions, or need some help, look for one of our officers in game: Liddan, Phinias, Lunara, or Konfusion!
It's been a minute now, so I thought we'd give a little update on what Yeti has been up to the past month. We formed the guild in early July, and we have been steadily recruiting new players to join our ranks ever since. During this building phase, we are also focusing heavily on leveling up some of our lower level recruits (and alts!), gearing up all of our members in Halls of Testing gear, assisting our members with Epic fights, and of course some of those big hairy quests such as Dain's Ring.
Sometimes Dragons get in Yeti's way. Sometimes Dragons die. On the way to Temple of Veeshan one night we found Kelorek'Dar up in Cobalt Scar. What was Yeti to do except give this guy a go? He fell rather quickly to our mini raid force, and he rewarded us with a lovely haste cloak for one of our new recruits, Drinin!
We decided as a guild to run some open raids on Halls of Testing over the past few weeks. We met a bunch of cool people from guilds such as Solusek's Lotus, False Prophecy, and Ancients of Norrath this way, and we caught up with some of our old friends from Tempus as well! We enjoyed playing and meeting with everyone, and we had many many armor drops that were distributed around to all of the participants! Below is just a small fraction of the drops we received on our most recent raid.
Epics Epics Epics!!! (+8th Ring for Liddan)! You put in the work for your epic, and we will help you with the kills!
Looking ahead, we are still aiming to grow our Yeti family. All levels and classes are currently needed. We will help you get caught up!
In the weeks ahead we are also setting our sights on some lower tier raid targets that we can take down with our current force. To tackle some of the more difficult targets & make Yeti great we need YOU to join us! Contact Liddan or Phinias in game if you have any questions!
What do they call it?
We are the mythical creatures of Norrath that you've only heard stories about. Long forgotten it seems, are the guilds of old. The tight knit communities that evoked small town "everyone knows everyone" sort of vibes.
What ever happened to the guilds that raided on a limited schedule, but were able to conquer content at a respectable pace? Are we content to fade into the background of a thousand faces, only concerned with the loot that comes from the corpses that litter the ground?
Or do we hunger for more; deeper connections, and the euphoria that comes with hard fought victories? What would you call such a guild?
They call us Yeti and we're here to make Ragefire great again. Modern guild communication tools. Three scheduled raids per week. Real life balance. Tight knit community.
